Children and young people’s database

Oxford Vaccine Group conducts world-leading research into creating new and improving existing vaccines for children and adults. Our research has recently contributed to the much-anticipated introduction of the Meningitis B vaccine for babies into the UK vaccination schedule but also focuses on pneumococcal bacteria, flu (influenza), RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) and global health. Parents interested in their children taking part in Oxford Vaccine Group clinical trials can subscribe to a database to receive regular electronic newsletters of currently recruiting studies. Young people aged between 16 and 18 years can also subscribe to the database however permission may be sought from their parents/legal guardians before enrolment in any study. On turning 18 years they may then be transferred to the Healthy Volunteers database for adults.

Subscribers to the Children and Young Peoples database would be under no obligation to participate in any study and are free to unsubscribe at any time. Their details would be stored on a secure server held by the Oxford Vaccine Group and would not be passed on to any third party groups or organisations apart from the University of Oxford.

If you would like to subscribe to this database please complete you and your child’s contact details below. Please provide an email address and either a telephone number or postal address in order for us to contact you. If you have any problems completing this form or have any queries about the database or trials run by the Oxford Vaccine Group please contact us by email on info@ovg.ox.ac.uk or by phone on (01865) 611400.
